What was the Winter Concert (postponed due to the snow) was duly resurrected and took place on Saturday 7th April, becoming The Spring Concert. Despite losing our Junior Club performers, who were away on their Easter holidays, we had a great evening’s entertainment from Drinkstone residents, with a couple of artists from outside the village who came to support us. The performers all gave of their best to give us a great evening, and the Friends of The Hut Theatre did stalwart work front of house so the evening ran smoothly. A huge thank you to all performers and helpers. These community evenings are always enjoyable and the door and raffle took a total of £215. Together with the Book Quiz that raised a further £92 we were able to add £397 to the kitty for a new stage. Good work everybody! Hopefully we will have our stage before the end of the year.
We took some photos – see here – they are a little grainy because it was dark in the hall.
