How to access the Automated External Defibrillator at the Village Hall

There is an Automated external defibrillator (AED) housed in a special locked cabinet outside the Village Hall.  In the event of a suspected heart attack/cardiac arrest DIAL 999 and ask for AMBULANCE. If the call handler asks if you have access to an AED to use before an ambulance or paramedic arrive, tell them that the address of the hall is Drinkstone Village Hall, Gedding Road, Drinkstone IP30 9SZ. The Ambulance Service call handler will supply the code to access the cabinet. Please note that the defibrillator is the property of the Ambulance Service and you must follow this  procedure to obtain the code.  Drinkstone Parish Council has taken over as the local liaison authority between the village and the Ambulance Service.  After opening the cabinet, take out the AED unit, open the case and follow the voice instructions (or follow the instructions provided by the call handler).
